The Santander Career Academy of the Year Award and the Sir Winfried Bischoff Award are now open for applications. These awards are a great opportunity to celebrate success and drive further achievement in your Career Academy programme.
Santander Career Academy of the Year
The Santander Career Academy of the Year Award is given to the school or college that has excelled in the delivery of the programme. The winning centre is awarded £5,000 for the development of their programme, and runners up will receive £1000 for second place and £500 for third place. Ian McLarty from Cirencester College, who won The Santander Career Academy of the Year Award in 2014, said:
“Being awarded the Career Academy of the Year accolade for 2014 was a terrific endorsement for Cirencester College and it has really been a positive asset to our work here.
“It has provided a welcome endorsement for the hard work and resources dedicated to the career academies and it has undoubtedly helped us to differentiate our college from other 16-19 providers in the area.”
Applications for The Santander Career Academy of the Year Awards close at 5pm on Friday 6 February. For more information and how to apply please click here. The winner will be announced and the award presented at the Graduation Ceremony in London on Tuesday 12 May 2015.

Seven regional winners are awarded £270 each, while the two overall winners will go on an all expenses paid trip to New York. To read about last year’s winners’ experience in New York click here.
We encourage all coordinators to nominate a student from their centre. It is easy to enter and there is a good chance of being awarded a regional prize. Applications for the Sir Winfried Bischoff Award close at 5pm on Friday 27 February.
