Career Ready officially launched its new name and website on Thursday 4 June.
In addition to being a far more modern, dynamic and engaging website in terms of marketing the charity’s work, the website offers a better and more streamlined process for volunteer registration, which will save time and resources and will significantly improve the experience for volunteers and employer supporters.
It also gives Career Ready an important platform to celebrate and thank strategic partners, whose logos appear at the bottom of every page, and other generous funders and supporters.
Speaking at a celebratory reception hosted by Standard Life at the Gherkin in London, Anne Spackman, Chief Executive of Career Ready, said:
“Our new site helps us celebrate the fantastic supporters we have, without whom none of our work would be possible. Many of our founding supporters are here tonight including Citi, Astra Zeneca, Morgan Stanley, Moody's and BP.
“Our ambition is to be the best practice model for business engagement and we will spend the next 13 years striving to be just that.”
The launch of the website and name is the culmination of months of work and is an excellent means of publicly signalling the achievements of Career Ready to date and the many developments the charity has made over the last year.
The website also has a Scotland only version of certain pages to reflect small differences in the programme, with a link on each page to show whether you are in the Scotland section or need to switch from England/Wales/Northern Ireland.
Anne Spackman continued:
“Career Ready is an excellent description of our students and we hope that all our future, current and past students will update their CV and LinkedIn profile with the new name, and be proud to describe themselves as ‘Career Ready’.”
Thanks to huge support from Career Ready followers on the #WeAreCareerReady campaign, the charity now has more than 4,000 followers on Twitter. To see some highlights of the campaign click here.
